Default Brake Booster Question

Hey guys i know there's a lot of knowledge running around here. Been working on my '87 D150 w/ my Big Block 400, I'm trying to clean up the engine bay some, got rid of most the '87's stuff that was not needed anymore. working on now finding a brake booster to give my driver side valve cover clearance to be removed. simple yes, parts comparison donno, I was going to notch the slots out some and move the booster up. I'd rather try in find a smaller booster thats goes to our trucks. Some one told me word of mouth nothing factual that a 1 ton van booster is smaller in diameter just long length wise?? Of course none of my local dealership or parts store had any in stock for me to compare. what do you guys think/ know anyone else have big block in thier pickup.

They have great junk yards in PA. (I'm originally from PA.) I would call around or even visit some to look around for that.
