Default White smoke

i was wondering why my engine puts out white smoke only when i hit the gas and shift?

sounds like there is some water in your gas or you might have a leaking head gasket. you might want to check your oil. if it is milky you have a leaking head gasket. if not then it is just some water in the gas.

I would bet you have a bad head gasket. Or cracked head or a crack in the cylinder wall.

Ha-ha, if the "white smoke" is coming from ur tires, then that is the result of s good turnout. Lol.
On a serious note, its ur piston ring(s). Add "stop smoke" to ur oil n 5he problem should go away. Like someone already said, if ur oil looks milky, then u got a leaky head gasket.

A ring problem would yield blueish smoke. How much white smoke and does it get worse as it warms up or does it yield less or does it stay constant? Are you losing coolant?
