Default 93 d-150 318

I have a 93 D-150 with a 318 magnum. Engine has 226,000+ miles. Needless to say it is wore out. Has no compression on most cylinders, and the ones that do drops quickly. My question is what years of 318 truck motors will work if I swap the intake? What other things will I need to change? Will A mid 80's 318 work or does it have to be a magnum ?
Thanks for any help.

i think you can use any 318,but you need to use the magnum heads, magnum pushrods etc. for the intake to work.magnums are the same 92-95,thet have that egr tube on pass side exhaust manifold. magnums are a lot stronger in stock form than a mid 80 's 318. hope this helps good luck
