Default New here!

Well I just purchased a 1987 Dodge Rem 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive. It is nothing to look at but there is very little rust on the body. The inside of the bed is beat up pretty good and there is hole rusted in the drivers side floor board, but no big deal for me. The previous owner told me that the 49,000 miles are original whether or not that is true doesn't matter because I picked it up for $650.00 I am not going to be restoring this but I do have some general question that matbe some of you can help me with.

1. Sight unseen does this sound like a good deal.

2. I want to put a plow on is and put chains on the rear tires. I will only be plowing my driveway. Will this work?

3. If it will work what size plow will I need? And any general info on this subject would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Around here the price don't get lower than that for any pick up that runs.
Can't help on the plow as I never used one.

I plow with my truck every winter in up to 2 feet of snow. Any more than that and I fire up my JD 450 crawler loader. I have no idea where you live, how much snow you get or what your driveway is like. Without 4 wheel drive and chains all around you can forget about plowing if the drive includes any sharp corners and you get much snow. With a plow slanted and pushing much snow the front end of the truck will just slide off the side of the road. If you provide more information and/or ask specific questions I will try to help you further.
