I want to help you, please answer the questions. What brand? Is there anything else on the bottle to identify what type atf it is? I have never seen a bottle of atf that did not say what type of fluid it is compatible with. If you got it at NAPA take it back and have them show you where it says it is compatible. If they can't show you this return it and buy some that says Dexron on the bottle.

thanks for the pointer to the TSB info. It does apply to my truck, and it states that I should use ATF+4. Thanks for helping me to confirm that. I wanted to make sure so I dont put the wrong fluid in my transmission and damage it.
