Default Thinking of getting a first gen

I'm thinking of getting a first gen and had a few questions. First, what can I do, like paint and wheels, etc., to make the truck look better?

Second, what can I use for the interior to make it black and where can I find new interior parts for these trucks(like a nationwide company like lmc or year one)?

Third, what seats will swap into the first gens?

As far as paint goes, the sky's the limit depending on your wallet. I personally like the idea of the old Mopar colors (plum crazy, sublime, etc.) These trucks deserve to stand out a little IMO because they're just way more uncommon than Fords and Chevys, and well, they're Mopar of course. For the plastics inside, I know companies like duplicolor make primers for plastic that would probably do the job on the dash, door panels, trim, etc. New interior parts, good luck with that. If they're out there they're super expensive (Mopars always are) or not well-known. I prefer going the junkyard route but that can be slim pickings too. I'm still sporting the stock bench so couldn't tell ya much about seats, but I think if you do a search on here there's something about getting a 2nd gen 60/40 type bench with console to work.

I'll have to look at the classic colors. I've heard about painting, but was wondering about how the quality and feel of it is. I've read about the 2nd gen seats so I'll probably look into that further

I'm sure if you do a base coat/clear coat version of a classic color it'll last longer and probably have a better shine due to the advances in paints over the last 30-40 years. But honestly, mine is flat black right now and I get a lot of people telling me to leave it that way. Don't know though, depending on whether I leave my interior burgundy or try to change it will make a difference.

Can you post a picture of what it looks like?
