Have you pulled the codes from the computer?

When you first start it and it is cold out remove the air cleaner and look down inside the throttle body. You want to check the spray pattern of the injectors. Each injector should have a fine cone with no gaps or streams and the bottom of the cone should reach the sides of the throttle body. This is easier to see without direct sunlight and you may need a flashlight.

You can get injectors but depending on what you see you may not need them. Even if you don't find perfect cones the injectors might be cleaned with Seafoam in the gas. Let us know what you find. There are other things that can cause this but this is the easiest and cheapest thing to check and a common problem.

the spray on the tbi was good. i have codes 32 and 52. egr failure and fuel system to rich. is this due to egr failure? could running rich be the reason why i have to feather the gas while its cold

it could possibly be a bad o2 sensor. you could try unplugging it and driving around and see if it makes a difference.

If the EGR system is passing exhaust gas into the intake at idle when it is not supposed to you may not be getting enough oxygen into the combustion chamber for complete combustion of the fuel. This would cause the O2 sensor to read a rich condition because it is a rich condition. This might also cause you to have to feather the gas due to a lack of power because the full fuel load is not being burned. How does it idle?

it idles bad when cold. once it warms up a bit its a bit rich but idles ok. i looked for the o2 sensor but could not find it. whoever owned the truck before had exhaust work done and i cant find it. would it be up close to the exhaust manifold. so im thinkin i will have to weld a bung in and all that fun stuff. then find the wires for the o2 sensor. a pic would be helpful.
