Default 1990 Shortbed V6

Well, I have a chance to get out of my new truck loan, my friends parents are looking for a newer half ton and asked about mine. Honestly, I love the newer truck, the Hemi is amazing, but I just dont need a truck this new and dont see the point in paying $500 a month for the next three years, not to mention is painful taking it anywheres but on pavement. So I went on Kijiji, found a couple nice trucks but one in particular, its a 1990 Ram 150, 2wd V6 auto, shortbed, reg cab. From Florida and only has a little surface rust on the fender, hes asking $2500. Figured I'll go with a 2wd as I already have the 91' 4x4. How are those 3.9's on gas and power? and Im going to assume is has a 3spd 727, but I may be wrong?

My truck was actually a 3.9 V6 when I first got it lol... throttle response was great but the power just wasn't there... not enough to pass someone! Mine's a longbed though so it's a bit heavier.

84 Ramcharger is cool... what's the specs?

Rebuilt 318 (built for more MPG aparently), Automatic 4x4. Its blue two-tone. aaah BFG all terrains (small size tho), it actually looks to be in good shape, almost too good of shape to trade for my 91', I offered it and he seems eager to trade so im thinking something might be up. I'll have a look at it though, http://novascotia.kijiji.ca/c-cars-v...AdIdZ262697256

Check for rust... rust, and RUST! Frame rails, cab corners, tailgate, under hood, under doors, rockers and wheel arches are obvious... upper cab drip rail isn't always... and having THAT rotten really sucks.

Quick check under the dash to make sure there isn't a huge mess of cut wires.

Besides that? Engines, trannys, axles... all easily found used and replaced.

Yeah, I dunno if I wanna trade the old W150, it doesn't need anything, that Ramcharger needs a windshield and exhaust at least. I like the 4speed better too, but I will still likely have a look, I'll post more pics if I go see it.
