Looks a lot like mine. Same paint different damaged spots but like you said it reliably gets the job done. My wife always asks me why I don't fix it up and get it painted and I just ask her why should I spend the money to **** myself off the first time I scratch/dent it. Happy motoring.

i don't think i could live with the damage done in those picture. the cops around here are idiots and i would probably be getting pulled over daily. for the most part my trucks are pretty straight. this summer i am hoping to sandblast and paint the 81 now that i have a compressor.

You need at least one good set of chains here on our drive just to get home some times. If you only use one set of chains put them on the front wheels when you need them. EDIT; Sorry just noticed your truck is a D.

The rear of the front fender and the door could easily have been done by a deer. Especially the big ones in your state. I have seen that much damage here in a side hit and our deer are smaller. You get 200+ pounds of meat and bones moving at 20-30 MPH and it makes a pretty big dent. But the dent on the fender just in front of the wheel just screams telephone pole or tree. maybe

chains can help even if it is a 2wd. i could see how some of that damage might have been caused by a deer but i think there is more damage there than a deer would cause. i think the guy might have tried to take it off roading and hit quite a few things.

Yes chains can always help but I recommended he put them on the front and that advice is only good for a W. That was what the EDIT was referring to.

Interesting....I prefer my chains on the rear Or all-four.

Why do you say front? cause it's easier to pull, than push?
