Just thought I'd update, I finally got he sunex o2 sensor socket from northern today. I still couldn't get it on the old sensor, I got frustrated and used my dremel with a cutting wheel and cut as much as i could off the old sensor. I then used a regular socket to get the rest of the old sensor off. Got the new one tightened up best I could and she purrs like a kitten again. I don't know if I'm an idiot for not being able to get the 02 sensor sockets on or if this is just a wonderfully designed system, but it looks like I'm fixed up for now.
