New truck cuts off

These idiot gauges are all different and, in my opinion, unreliable until you verify what they are telling you. I always recommend you pull the sending unit and temporarily replace it with a cheap gauge from the hardware store to find out what actual pressure you have and then you know what your gauge is telling you.

You don't need a liquid gauge as the gauge will not actually see liquid oil. Pull the sending unit and take it to your local hardware store. Ask for a 0-100 PSI 2 inch pressure gauge for a water system and the proper size adapters to match the thread size on the sender. It shouldn't cost more than a couple of dollars. I like the 2 inch but a 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inch will also work just fine. This will show you what it will look like.
