Default Door Weatherstripping

Any recommendations for inexpensive weatherstripping for my 87 D150? Is there any generic product I can get or do I have to buy it specifically form my make and model?

I would use the proper weather stripping. Generic/universal is usually more trouble than it is worth. IMHO

Camper tape. You will hate it. But it will be better than nothing.

I think the best cure is actually just to make sure your heater works well

I think my passengers, equipment and my own comfort is worth $169.00. I have to agree though that if your going to ignore your weather stripping it is a good idea to make sure you are warm as you get wet and watch your truck rot out from under you. LOL

I've used both 1AAuto for weatherstripping and JCWhitney. 1AAuto has better prices and free shipping.

Weatherstripping makes a big difference in noise levels like rattling and whistling windows and doors. You should consider getting the window sweeps as well.

Lol. Good point SEAL. Just to clarify that i'm not killing my truck, my weatherstripping is weak, but not gone. The window seals are dry rotted, and everything whistles. I get a little bit of air, but no water ever. And no, I've never personally used camper tape to seal my cab.

I know, I know. My buddy picked up some junkyard doors for his 84 w350 build, and they have camper tape all around them. From what we can tell, it looks like it helps, but its real crappy looking, and doesn't stick very well.

Keep in mind too that the correct seals for the truck will keep the moisture out of the cab,so that it doesn't get that musty smell.
