Default truck will not start

A few days ago i started and moved the truck. Later i tried to start it and nothing no noise etc. Lights and the key buzzer does not work.I put a new battery in a few years ago aswell as the battery terminals. A guy i work with said it is the volt regulator. Can it be that or something else. I tried to jump it and that did not work. Anything else? thanks

What is the voltage reading at the battery? Take the battery terminals off and clean them. A bad voltage regulator would show up as a dead battery when it is running and not when it is sitting.

The terminals are clean no acid. So what could be the problem? It started and ran fine and the nothing. Thanks
