Yargh! I put "specialty synthetic" twice. The second time it should say, "specialty conventional"

I use conventional no additives ever. Have an 88 ford with a 7.3 at 429,000 I looked inside for the first time because a valve keeper came out. Crank went back in without grinding whole thing was in nice shape.
What I'm trying to say is if a ford will run that long on Shell Rottella why waste money on sythetic. And additives are for oilburners and leakers never put them in a good motor.

Dodgeman I had great luck with tranny stop leak in a 69 D200 with the 727. Had to add a quart at every fillup put in a quart of Pennsoil ATF with stop leak and never added again !
Oh sorry bout the ford but in 1988 when I needed a one ton crew cab that was far and away the best new truck you could buy with a diesle. Dodge did have the Cummins but no crew cab. And chevy had the 6.2.
Anyone want to buy an 88 F350 with 500,000 miles rust and no wheels and tires?
