Default Grille/headlights conversion from 89 to 78?

I was wondering if anyone ever, or is it possible to put a 78 grille/headlights, blinker, on my 1989 dodge w350 cummins turbo diesel... I like the front end on the 78, and i know a lot of the parts on these old dodges are interchangable. So can anyone else me out?

I'm pretty sure the sheet metal is a little different. You'd probably have some places to trim and fill, if the mounts would line up. You could always go all out and do a body swap.

i did a 78 to 81 body sawp and the grill lined up good....im not sure if the fenders/hood/bumper are the same but i think they are pretty close..... it all comes down to how much time you want to spend on your truck

I didnt havent to swap the core support because all i did was use the body parts, nothing with the frame. I didnt do any engine swap or anything like that. This gasser body just had a better body than my diesel, and the 2 trucks were only a year apart. Its pretty simple getting everything apart, just a pain getting everything lined back up on the other truck.

alright, i just asked because i know on jeeps to swap to a gladiatior grille you need to either replace or modify the core support because you are going from square to round lights like a 78 grille on an 86 Ram
