so i told the dealeer to also check the axle run out(its all good)
i said how do you know its bowed/bent,they said you could see it.
i took a ride up to the dealer to see it,i had to wait until they got it up on the lift, they put the rear wheels off the lift, and had it running with the rear wheels turning just at idle in gear, saw the driveshaft it had a good bounce to it. no need even to put a dial indicator on it,the tech. said its off more than a few thousands. i could not believe it myself. they are sending the shaft out to get a new one made, all the rest of the truck is 100%,thats what they said,it should be by now dont you think??
maybe get it back by end of next week, they are fixing an a/c issue also
thank you for all the help
Aje....any updates?
Having worked in a driveshaft shop I find this almost unbelievable......"almost".....

With all the crazy luck you've had, I hope it's not the same guys you took it to.

I'd be dying to know but afraid to ask! Hope it all works out.

hey sixgun, im glad its not the same place i took it to. i asked them where they send it,they said they use a place in SEGUIN TX. they said the driveshaft place would be charging like $80,seems kind of cheap to fix considering it was so messed up with wobble. they are getting it back tomarrow morn, putting it on then test drive it to make sure its all good.
they are also fixin my a/c issue when they get done with the driveshaft.
i do hope its done soon, going crazy, need things for it yet im held up on everything. no truck to drive, got to use my harley every where i go.
BLUEBONNET DODGE may be a better dealer to deal with but the sevice dept. is slow with getting a price on repairs, they still have not gave me a total price yet. i really dont care at this point, just hope all is fixed, and get it back soon. thank you

well here it is,the dealer got the driveshaft back yesterday, they put it back on. they took it for test drive, same problem!! how could this be already?? still shake vibration. today i went to trans shop they said wrong driveshaft, slip yoke not in far enough, OMG!! what else can all these shops come up with?? checked with the 1st place that originally did the driveshaft, took it there, they looked at it,said it is the bushing in the tailshaft. ok i left there went to a trans shop, had them pull the trans tailshaft and change that bushing and the slip yoke seal,it was leaking from all this vibration/shake. also it makes my u joint wear out early.
even after this it is still there.OMG!! does anyone know what route i should go now, please?? thank you

When the vibration is happening try slipping it into neutral and see if the vibration is still there. Have you checked the rear rims for runout to see if you have a bent axle?

its still there in neutral,i believe the cause is a rotating part.
i have been out of commision cause of back disk surgery, that is why i have been taking it to get repaired. now i am able to do some work.
i just put it on jackstands to run it in gear no more wobble in the driveshaft. i dont think its the wheels or tires both are brand new.
i did pull the wheels and drums, checked the axles for run-out with a dial indicator, all good the driver side : .002 the pass side : .003 i would believe this is better than acceptable.
i still say its the slip yoke, the internal splines have some up and down play. i know there probably should be a small amount,i just think its too much. no one seems to know how much play is too much.
friday morn im taking it to driveshaft shop to get new slip yoke and rebalance. the slip yoke is the only thing left that has any play in it.
any one have any other ideas?? just dont know what else to check???
thank you

If you can find a place and a good friend, you can drop the drive shaft and push it at a speed above 35 so that you can isolate the problem further.

thanks guys,i have been looking up info about the slip yoke play and find that this is the problem, all have similar symptoms.
it could be a gamble but i have had so many shops, dealers look at it to find the problem. eventually i will find the problem.
the truck may just be haunted(ha-ha) thank you
