Default 1983 Dodge Ram have a reset ?

My buddy had his 83 Ram in to have the fuel pump replaced and the speedometer repaired /replaced . When he got his truck back the fuel guage does not seem to be working.
Is there a way to reset the systems after work was done. Any and all advice would be great! Thanks Jim

They probably disturbed the sending unit while they did the pump. I'd suggest asking them to fix it.

I would check the connections to the gauge itself, If they replaced the speedometer they may have disconnected the gauge wiring and didn't notice it. They should be responsible for this if it worked when it went in.

Yep, sounds like the plug on the back of the instrument cluster isn't connected properly.
