I have checked the spray pattern and it is a full cone. The fuel is bran new, just put $30 fresh fuel from empty. The fuel filter was changed at the time of TBI install.
Ill have to get out my volt meter and check tomorrow. Ill post back tomorrow.

Ok, managed to get to the truck today.

Battery to ECT ground on ECM is at 12.6v
ECT signal to ECT ground is at 5v
ECT signal to ECT ground at the sensor connector is at 5v
So im going to say its not a wiring issue.

Cant seem to get an ohm reading off of either the old sensor or new one. Weird.

Got the reading on the sensor. 900's when cold and went up to 1200 after a couple minutes.

Readings for the ECT should be in these ranges within 15% or so. The volts are the actual output of the sensor with an input of 5 volts.
190 degrees 0.6 V
160 degrees 1.0 V
85 degrees 2.6 V
50 degrees 3.7 V

Thanks. The new ECT sensor is performing correctly. Maybe its an ECU problem.

You say the new ECT is performing correctly. Does that mean you have taken the voltage readings at different temps and they match those I posted? If so where did you take the readings? Was it at the ECT or at the computer? The readings should be taken at the computer and all the wiring should be wiggled during the test to see if there is a breakdown in the wiring.

A faulty O2 sensor or wiring can also cause a rich mixture but should not stop the engine from running.

I tested it at 85* and 160* at the sensor. Ill have to go back to redo the test. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Im getting proper reading at the ECM plug in. Is it possible that the ECM is just not reading it correctly? maybe the ECM took a holiday.

Has the connector at the ECM ever been unplugged? I ask because the pins can be bent over if they are slightly out of alignment when the connector is reconnected. This is the last thing I can think of unless the ECM is faulty. I hesitate to find fault with the ECM because most ECMs that are replaced are not the problem and they are not cheap.

It has never been unplugged as far as i know. Its a pretty low KM truck. Im going to check for spark when it wont start. Its either that or too much fuel.
