Default Convert to power windows

Hello all.
I have a 1991 d150 reg cab pickup with just 40K on it, but it needs new doors. I found a set but they are power windows, and my originals are not. Do I just have to run power to the window controllers, or am I in for surprises?

Thank you, Jeff

Look under your dash near the pillars and see if the wiring harness doesn't already have the necessary connectors.

I have found in a number of cases that there was only 1 wiring harness listed (cab) and it included the connectors\wiring for other options regardless if the truck was equipped with them (power windows, locks, speakers, etc). now this isn't always the case but it was cheaper for them to make just 1 harness than multiple to account for various options.

If your truck isn't and don't want to track down the necessary wiring (junk yard, etc) you can swap the regulators.

Those after-market ones have nothing in common with the factory ones

First question is, are they stock power windows or aftermarket because the wiring may different even if it does exist in your truck. Are the switches for the windows available from where the doors are from? Wiring is not hard but can get confusing if you have never messed with power windows.

I have after market power windows and door locks and I love them but there are cheap ones and expensive ones. You get what you pay for.
