your v6 will only sound alright at lower rpms. good luck
How do I check if my cat is partially clogged? And I don't think high flow cats will pass emissions unfortunately.

Ya its the V6 Magnum. And I looked at that plenum post before and my truck shows none of those symptoms. So I think my plenum is fine.

i doubt the plenum is fine. most people think there truck is running great up until there cat clog and they loose all power and then they wonder what the heck happened? my neighbors cat clogged about 1 week after i was talking with him about the plenum gasket.

the only problem i could see with using a cat from a different vehicle is it may not have the air injection port on it.

As for the muffler, i meant the regular cherry bomb. The glasspack. The granddaddy of snap, crackle, pop. I've never been pulled over for noise, and i swear my truck is quieter than the average guy with flowmasters still.

Well so far my truck has zero loss in power. Trust me I tested it good lol. I put the truck in second gear got the revs up, popped the clutch and got a pretty badass 10ft burn out.

What is the air injection port?

Ya looked into the glasspack, but you gotta remember my truck is a V6. So it may not sound good with that. Thats why I'm most likely gonna purchase the CherryBomb Pro. Which is just a step below the glasspack. I'm going back to the autoparts store this Saturday to pick up a new muffler. If any body is interested I can post some pics of it when I'm finnished. Cause I'm redoing most of the exhaust. Including relocating it. I can also do a video to. Let me know.

Thanks

If anybody would like me to, I can take a video of the truck now without the muffler to show you how quiet it is. Maybe this will help.

An injection port is a pipe in the side of the converter that feeds oxygen/air into the converter to help it complete its burning of the fuel and NOX compounds. It is fed by the air pump.
