lokking at buying a 93 w250 cummins
I found a w250 Cummins for sale, my plan is to use rhis truck for towing cross country my rv and quad. The truck looks really mint and has 242000,kms. How reliable would this truck be for what I want it to do. It's a regular cab and manual. I'm totally in love with this Cummins I find its a bad *** truck and I want to give my 4th gen a break. Not sure the type of gears on it still waiting for a reply from the seller. I'd like some input on this ol girl. The guy want 7500 for it.

What points out that the blue one is not a 93, i'm not familiar with these 1st gens. I also thought 7500 was a lil high for those trucks, but now i found this other truck for 2600$ and only 74 000kms on it. This truck is super mint and i mean really mint, almost too hard to believe its going for that price. Here are some pics of the 3rd truck.

That last truck sounds too good to be true, my friend. IMO, it would sell for twice that. The reason that blue truck looks not like 93 is that it has 90 and older side trim, and grille. Also, the emblem is from a gasser. The difference between the 90 and 93 (if its a 93) is that the 93 would be intercooled from the factory. The prices for the first two seem normal from my experience.

Yeah that truck really seems too good to be true. I contacted the seller with no reply yet but if I can get a hold of him I'm going to buy with no questions asked. I'm thinking it was a grandpa truck and someone is selling it for him and have no clue what they are doing. How would I check if the blue truck is a 93 or 90? Vin number I guess.

that last one might be a bit too low but i think the first ones are a bit to high for the age. i have seen some first gen rams that need some body work around here for $2000 and they have sat for sale forever. i would also be worried about the one that is suppose to be a 93. if they change the grille it makes you wonder why? could have been in an accident or had a major rust problem. the grille on the 93 should be the same as the grille on the last truck you posted pictures of.

Well the burgundy truck i got a reply from the seller, his name is Terry Jarred and i just googled his name for fun and thankfully I did. Pretty sure it's a scam. This was his reply "Hello
The vehicle is not sold yet. It's in good condition with no issues at all. Clean interior has no unpleasant odors of any kind (pet, smoke, etc.). It has a clear and clean title under my name, free of all liens. There is no lien on it, no monthly payments just the final price of $2,600. It's a non smoker truck with zero mechanical/electrical problems no damages or accidents. The truck has 75000 miles,6 cylinder diesel engine, manual transmission,4WD,year 1993.
Right now I am not in Canada i've just got a 4 years contract with US Air Force in WA,US .If you want to purchase it i have signed a contract with a shipping company that will deliver the truck to your door.I want a transparent transaction without negotiation. For more photos please visit the link:

And this was my reply
I'm just a little bit suspicious about this whole deal, first of all why would you post this in a Toronto ad when you could probably sell this truck in a week at that price in Washington or wherever you are. Second it's hard to believe they would deliver that beast to my town for nothing, let alone selling the truck for 2600$. Third just google Terry Jarred and see what comes up, it's not hard to figure out this smells like a scam, just like the Gold Wing, the Kubota tractor and maybe another Dodge truck amongst who knows what else. Sorry if I may sound rude but if I can't see this truck in person or talk to the guy, i'm not biting, i thought the truck was in Ontario not 2000 kms away! You ain't fooling this Canadian.
So i guess it was too good to be true, maybe if someone is in Washington can go and check it out hehehe. Guess i'll keep shopping
