I am looking to get a lift kit for my 86 w150. It is time for new springs and shocks so might as well put a lift kit on it. What is a good four inch lift kit? I was looking at the four inch rough country with front and rear springs and shocks. Is there anything else i need besides the springs and shocks? like a transfer case drop? Or can i just slap the springs and shocks on and call it done?

I have a 92 w150 which just a few months ago I had a rough country 4'' lift put on it. It is a stiff ride but its a good hight and like it so far. Springs in the front and blocks in the back. Shocks came with it. My rear springs are pretty worn as well but lifted springs are alot more expensive and from what ive read unless you do alot of heavy duty off-roading its not that big of deal.
Didnt have to change my driveshaft pr brake lines.

I have 4" superlift springs on the front of my '72 and they ride great, and flex well on the trail.
If your front driveline binds after installing the lift, either grind the CV and/or yolk for clearance, or buy a clocking ring for the t-case.
