Grill removal..easy?

Default Grill removal..easy?

I am looking for any tips to removing the grill..haynes manual has nothing..is it as simple as see screw..unscrew..repeat? I am getting it painted next week and he wants as much as i can take off..off....and will i be "legal" to drive without a grill fo some miles??

What year? In 1982, the screws were in the front (pointing front to back), top (pointing downwards). Service manual says just to remove the screws.

Its pretty easy. I believe you can pop out the plastic insert, then take out the shell. Its all just screws. Its not illegal to drive without a grille, you just don't want to hit a bird, unless you have a spare radiator around.

i would wonder what you would do with the turn signal lights? if you just let them hang they will most likely brake.

Can't you take the grill/head lights bezel off when you get there? Takes about 5 mins if that.

Its a 91. Just 9 screws, so it was easy. I but the blinkers back into the screw hole, so everything is good for the short drive. Thanks for the help!
