Default transmission gasket

Sometime back i replaced the gasket/filter on the truck. I am not sure if i used sime kind of gasket sealer( still leaking). If i was/am suppose to use a sealer can i take the cover off and clean it and reuse it? thanks

if its a felpro gasket,it should go on dry. the are usually made out of some type of rubber/fiber. you may be able to clean it up and reuse. good luck

if the gasket is a high quality rubber one then i could see it being re-used but if it was a cork one then you will most likely just have to replace it. i doubt they are that expensive
