I'm hopin' for low 20's on the highway, like my dads '82 318/auto used to get.

(sorry, didn't see the multi-post quote function soon enough)

good luck with getting those numbers. i think i might be hard to get those numbers now aday. lots of things have changed including the gas. apparently using the gas with 10% ethanol can make you get worse gas mileage than gas without the ethanol.

don't worry about the multi quote. i never use it.

Dad still get's 22 mpg on the freeway in his all original 318 (poly) 727 '62 Plymouth. But I don't know if the gas out in WA has ethanol...

if that is in a car it is understandable. i wanted to install an rv cam in my 81 in hope of getting better gas mileage but i am not sure. was almost just thinking of fixing up the engine in my 91 that already has an rv cam and stick it in my 81.

Yep. We've got ethanol too.

i think pretty much everywhere the basic 87 octane gas has ethanol. i know in Ontario it seem the only gas that is ethanol free is the 91 octane stuff which is all that i put in my tanks. i have not seen any better mileage with it but i have never had a problem with my truck not starting. it actually starts almost too easy.

That picture was taken almost 30 years ago, and that's my dad. His grandparents bought it new, it looks about the same today on the exterior, but the floors are rusted bad.
