Default Newb checking in

hey guys I'm checking in, just purchased a w350 crew can dually will have pictures up soon. Everythings immaculate on it except the a/c. That's my question for you guys, I blows but does not blow cold. I know this is common because my dad used to have the same truck with the same problem. I'm going to try and recharge it but if that doesnt fix any one know the problem to tackle first? Thanks for any input real excited for this truck

Hey welcome.. I'm pretty much a newb too, just bought an 92 power ram 150 le and its in nice shape also. My air actually works but think it could be a little colder so I plan to take it to a shop like the other guys mentioned. Think it may still have R-12 in it, if so I'll have it converted. I used to charge our ac systems myself until one time I over charged it and blew a line.. realized there is more to it than just adding refrigerant lol. When I let the shop service it seems to work well for years at a time. Worth the money imo. Congrats on the new beast!

As for blowing colder, r12 blows colder than r134a. So if your r12 system is good but maybe just low, Id look around to see if you can find some r12 to top it off. Some places may still have it. It will be much more expensive if you do find it since it is no longer made.

As for you rollin, as the guys before me said take it in and go from there. If it charges up and works then great.
