Default Steering column interchange?

Can I put an '86 tilt column with cruise control in my '90 with a non tilt and cruise control?

Thanks!

Well, I did some snooping around on e-Bay and it looks like it won't fit.

i think if you wanted to do it, it would be possible. i think the only thing that changed was they added the dimmer switch to the steering column which added more wire to the turn signal light connector. the ignition switch connector should be the same so your truck would run but you would have no lights.

I wonder if you could swap the turn signal switches?

doubt it. i am pretty sure the entire shape of the column changed but i don't think it would be too hard to stick the dimmer switch in the floor and use the turn signal switch as is.
