Default 4 speed from a 86 d150 slant 6 in a d250 318?

Does anyone know if it will just bolt on? I have a 86 d250 with a 318 and a 4 speed manual that has a problem with first and reverse. I can get a tranny from a 86 d150 that had a slant 6 in it. Any answers would be awesome. By the way I was told my tranny is a np435 and the tranny I am interested in is also a np435 but I just don't know if the fact that it was on a slant 6 makes a difference.

I'm about 87% sure that it's the exact same trans, as long as it's a 4 on the floor 435's, and not a 3 on the tree.

The answer is yes. The tranny will bolt straight up to your bellhousing. There shouldnt be any difference between the trannies themselves.
