Default Rear end 84 dodge d150

I need to know how do I identify what type of rear end is under my truck. I have a 1984 dodge d150 with a 318 in it and a 904 transmission. Its a single wheel drive truck only the passenger wheel drives it. I need this information so I can convert it to a posi trac rear end.

Thank you for help.

Its has 10 bolts holding the cover plate and this is what i've found so far can someone confirm that this is the right gear setup for it.

EDIT: I dont see the a 1984 dodge d150 under the vehicle applications for this though so I think its not the right setup.

When they refer to 10 and 12 bolt rear end are they refering to the holes in the gear case? In that case I have found a posi trac rear end that applies to an 84 dodge d150.

they are referring to the amount of amount of holes in the differential cover. if the cover on your dif looks like a stop sign then you have a 9 1/4 rear end.

Odds are that you have the 9 1/4 rear. Have a pic of your rear diff cover? That will be the dead giveaway.
