Well, my A-833OD transmission got stuck in first yesterday...Took about a half day to get the linkage off, and get it out of gear. Now that I have my hurst linkage out, is there a better one out there? Should I bother getting a new one or put it back in. And does anybody have any preferences for the shift stick? I tore mine out trying to get it out of gear.
My experience with Hurst shifters is that they are pretty much bullet proof. Like any shifter, if they aren't adjusted properly the can lock-up. If it is still in usable condition I would put it back in and make sure it is adjusted correctly before I condemn the shifter.
