Default Clutch linkage

I have a 1986 Dodge 1/2 ton 4X4 with a 4 speed manual transmission. The clutch linkage appears to be worn such that the clutch pedal rides on the spring of the clutch fork, and the pedal hangs slightly low as compared to the brake pedal. I see no evidence of a spring to hold the clutch pedal up as high as it can go. Anybody have this experience, and can tell me what has to be replaced?? Thanks.

typically, a spring is placed on the throw out bearing fork to a bracket off the front of the bellhousing. Stop by a dodge dealer and have them look it up on a microfiche or parts break down.

I don't know why he would be in the wrong section bud.

The spring may be missing, weak, or broken. The linkage may need adjustment. Does the fork have free movement over its entire travel or could it be binding and hanging up? Remove the spring and check the fork travel. Re-bend the spring to apply more pressure or adjust the linkage if needed.
