318 timing

Default 318 timing

I have a 1990 dodge w150 with a tbi 318. Could anyone tell me what the timing should be set at? Thanks!

It should be at 10* BTDC. Warm your engine to normal operating temp and then disconnect your coolant temp sensor.

For next time, try looking at the underside of the hood for the emissions sticker that contains that information.

Higher altitude will call for more advance. Not sure where you live, but for many years I lived around 9000ft above sea level. Factory timing doesnt cut it.
