We straightened the rear bumper today on the 78 project truck. I did like I had seen my dad do In the past....I used a tow strap with hooks & tied it around a oak tree, then backed the truck up to the strap.. bumper was tweaked upward on both ends, so I ran the strap under the bumper and hooked it behind the top lip of the bumper at the top....then put in drive & very slowly went forward until it was straight, then repeated same step on opposite side of bumper....Came out pretty dam straight....We then sanded it down, painted & cleared it.......Just wanted to post some before & after pictures of it...We might not have to get a new bumper for it after all!!!! at least for now any way....

i can't even see the difference. maybe it looked worse in person. i like the painted bumpers because touch ups are so easy to do when you scratch them.
Yea, the 2 attached pics where after we straightened it...I forgot to take a before picture when it was bent up...pics are just of the before and after paint job...
