Problem With Hydraulic Slave Cylinder
Hey guys,I am new to this first gen site. I usually visit the Durango site. Anyway I am looking for some advice. I have an 86 D-100 RWD with slant six and A833 trans. This is a project truck and I basically replaced the blown engine with another Slant 6 and went through the trans. I installed new clutch and pressure plate. After getting it all put back together I drove it home and it shifted fine. Fast forward a couple of weeks I went to drive it and it would not go into gear. The trans just grinds. The clutch slave cylinder was suspect so I just installed a new slave bled the system and it is still doing the same thing. What are your thoughts? Maybe I didn't bleed it enough. I am not familiar with the hydraulic assist system so this is new to me. I don't know what the pedal is supposed to feel like when bled and operating properly. Thanks for your advice.

Have someone push the clutch pedal while you watch the cylinder and fork. How far does the fork move? Does it grind in all gears or just first? I doubt it is a bleeding problem or the problem would have been there from the start and not developed later.
