Auto to Manual Swap
Aside from that, if you currently have a 4 speed, and you are switching to either choice of 5 speed, your length is not a concern. Driveshafts are same length, same spline count on output shaft for transfer-case and same bolt pattern for both the bell housing and t-case. On my NV3500 swap, I had to lenthen the hole in my transmission tunnel by about two or three inches towards the seat. It probably could have been avoided, but sure made it easier to get to the shifter bolts. I am debating on making a short write up on a budget 5 speed swap. Using basic tools and stuff you might have laying around. Pictures of the finished product would be included of course. (Mine is already done, so I dont have in the process pics.)
I would be going from the auto to the 5 speed, a short write up would be awesome along with any tips and tricks you may have found out
