The only problems with the 2001 Exploder we have are a ****ty trans (2 rebuilds), the cam chain cassettes are a very poor design (they fail at about 150K with catastrophic results), and some very poor quality intake gaskets. Other than those things it has enough power to do everything we have required from it. It is very good in the snow with a competent driver behind the wheel. (that leaves my wife out)
