violent vibration

i would check the rear brakes. if there is some abnormal wear on the pads then that is most likely were your problem is.

Air can compress and cause a pulsation in the caliper piston that can show up as a vibration.

SEAL, Thanks for your help. I bled the front left brake again and you were right. There was air in the caliper. The vibration is still there but not as severe. I am going to bleed the other wheels this weekend as well as check the rear brakes(crazzywolfie) Thanks to you too.

not completely. the back brakes were bad and the drums were warped. i changed all that out. now i need to change the wheel cylinder (slave cylinder). only one shoe is moving. maybe that will do it.
