Default Need help with parts please!

Hello, quick introduction.

I'm Sonny, im from Holland. The reason why i'm here is because i was wondering what kind of header i have to order and from where?

It's my mother's car, she drives a '89 Power ram LE 150 5.2
That's all i know, 1 of her headers has almost completely rusted away.

Hope you guys can help me out!

Like this? Or is it a tubular aftermarket header? http://www.1aauto.com/1A/ExhaustMani...FQ-e4AoddQwAhg

I guess its tubular, its not like the one you linked i'm afraid.
So if its tubular, that automatically means its aftermarket? I ( and she ) don't care if it's OE(m) or aftermarket.
As long as it does its job.

If it's tubular then it should be an aftermarket piece, if that's the case, find another set you like online, buy them, replace them, be happy with the sound.

Welcome to DF!

That's the problem mate. I have no freaking idea which one i should buy, and from where?
There are so many different types of this car/engine. This is the only one in the entire Netherlands :P
I believe the engine is a 318? Any way i can confirm this?

So in a nutshell,
I would really like to know what header i have to buy and from where.

5.2 is 318 5.9 is 360. Try Summit racing or Jegs for headers. They can tell you which one you should get according to your use.

Well, I don't know how the vins are setup in the Netherlands but here in the US, Vin code Y is the 5.2L Magnum V8, aka the Dodge 318 Magnum.

The 318 is internally balanced where as the 360 is externally balanced, so on the 360, look for the harmonic balancer on the crank.

The 318 used a harmonic balancer also and they didn't put the Magnums in the 89 model. The "Y" as the 8th digit of the VIN is the 318/5.2L. A "Z" or "5" as the 8th digit of the VIN is the 360.

That's not what my Haynes says....1989-93 5.2L V8, EFI. And IIRC, that is the Magnum.

You can believe your Haynes manual if you want but I would point out that it wouldn't be the first mistake ever found in a Haynes manual. I happen to actually have an 89 with a non-Magnum 318 with a harmonic balancer in my garage. I believe the 318 magnums started in 90 or 92 and the 360 Magnums were an option as early as 89. I know they stopped making the 318 LA in 91. As always I am willing to learn.
