Well going to go from a 77 to a 85 cab and body. Do yall know any unexpected issues I might bump into while doing this?

Shouldnt have any trouble at all as long as the frame is built for same type of body (reg cab, long bed, or whatever you have.) I put a '78 body on an '85 and it was a perfect bolt on swap. No fabbing needed.

Only problem is the 77 has a better front and rear.

Amen to that, bud. Thats why I retrofitted my '85 with the '78 body.
Hey Goatley,
Im guessing your '77 body has seen better days and the '85 is in decent shape? If your '77 grille is good, you might consider keeping the radiator support, grille and hood from the '77. Most people tend to agree that it is a far sexier style. Im not certain if the hood is different or not, but something in the back of my mind is telling me that they are slightly different lengths to accomodate the different radiator support. Im sure that if Im wrong, someone will chime in. Also, it is possible to modify the '85 radiator support to accept the headlight setup of the '77 grille, but since you have the '77 support already, it would be easier to just use that.
If you go this route, PLEASE post pictures. That would be sweet.
