no. it is about the same as changing a light bulb. just some led light dim and some don't. if you get the right ones it probably won't matter if they dim or not. if you want ones that dim you just got to make sure to read the info or ad to see if they dim. mine don't dim but there not so bright that they will blind you. just get a cool blue color.
