Weren't all the blue painted motors originally carbed? That would be super cool if it turned out to be a 340. Doesn't the original owner know what the motor is? I would be pretty worried if I bought a truck from someone who did a motor swap and they didn't know what motor they stuck in it!

 

The guy I got it from had it as collateral for a job he did. Never got paid so he just wanted to off load it fast. I needed a vehicle and it was less than a grand so I jumped on it. Biggest problem right now is tuning the carb in. Been researching the throttle geometry, jet screws, float lvls and all that. Its a lot touchier than I had thought. But it's still fing raining here, and with no garage I'm just reading up on the different set ups.
