BTW that truck looks like it MAY have a 2in lift, but Dodges came higher in stance than more street oriented 4x4s so there's that too. Mine looks like it is 2~4in higher than my chevy which is stock but it is stock. These are 31 10.5 15s

i don't know if you will find headers for a big block truck. i think i remember that if you can actually find headers you have to notch the frame to make them fit.

Headers for a BB truck are still available.

As far as a "budget" lift - blocks in the back (bad idea since you will be stacking them) for the front you could add spring leafs. NEVER use blocks in the front.

You could also do a shackle flip in the back and gain height as well.

Who makes headers for a BB truck still? I may need some if my 400hp 383 ends up in my truck some late night!

Cheap headers will usually require "notching" the frame especially with an RB (440). It isn't as bad with the low deck B engines (383, 400 etc)

Watch because the base BDS kit also comes with rear blocks and an add-a-leaf, you need to upgrade the kit with rear springs. If you go 5" like the BDS kit you will have steering\wandering issues. I see the BDS kit includes a steering block but the only real fix is cross-over steering.

Usually the best way to do headers is to remove the entire stock system first. Then loose the motor mounts, and jack the motor up a couple inches very carefully and stab the headers from the bottom up or top down depending on which way looks easiest. Then bolt em up and replace the bolts for the motor mounts ans fly round the block with them open to make the neighbors hate your new truck~!

Oh HELL yeah.

I must remember this!

Also, 2.5 in true duals, will make the 400 breathe pretty good.
