You said something about changing the cam out. I for one always use Comp cams. They have never let me down. For your truck I would use http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cc...iew/make/dodge or http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cc...iew/make/dodge.

Yes, that is a B block, so is the same as the 383 in a sense. Here's a list.

came across this. they already did a add a leaf to the rear of my truck and i was wondering if i did add a leaf to the front would that cause any steering problems or any problems at all? im just looking for a inch or 2 lift in the front so i can put my 33's under and add a leaf is only like 100 bucks so ?

Add-a-leaf with that small amount shouldn't cause you any problems. Just never use blocks in the front.

Yep, add a leaf is fine in front too. I would not count out small blacks but would not do more than an inch or 1.5in on front. Everyone talks crap about front blocks but they are only really bad in front of you do really aggressive off roading. And even then I have never seen damage or problems from front blocks. I had a buddy who had 4in blocks in front and 6in of block in the rear and he never had a problem. Even though, I would never use that much block for any reason!
