Default '88 D150 truck help

I just inherited an 88 D150. Its got the 318. Now im not a mechanic, but i can somewhat troubleshoot and basic car maintenance.

Anyways, cant get it to run. The fuel pump was changed a couple years ago, but has just sat since then. It will start but only run for a couple of seconds, which leads me to believe it isnt getting any gas. Im gonna install a new fuel filter tomorrow. If that doesnt work, im gonna check for pluggage in the line. After that i am out of ideas.

New someone to point me in the right direction please.

Check the fuel pressure. You should be able to borrow a gauge from most auto parts stores. You should have 14.5 psi.

Also check the codes.

There are a number of things that could cause this.
