Also, for controlling the tranny, you can get a aftermarket standalone TCU (transmission control unit, AKA transmission controller) for the Allison, then you can program all the shift points WITHOUT needing any thing else, only in most cases a TPS (throttle position sensor, on the P pumped cummins you might be able to use a APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor)).
