Question 1979 318 Turbo Help

I want to install a turbocharger on my '79 D100. The only problem is i don't know what i'm doing. I have a lot of questions, and to anyone who can help, it would be greatly appreciated. 1st off, do the wastegate and bov connect somehow? if not, where do the vacuum lines go to? how is a wastegate positioned and what is it hooked up to? what is the bov connected to? do i have to connect my exhaust to each other if i only run 1 turbo? what a/r do i need for a 318 on the street?and should i run an oil cooler? also can i run a turbo timer on a 1979 model. I'm sure i'll have many more questions. But any response will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Nick

Wastegate- connected to the exhaust before the turbo, vents exhaust gases to keep the turbine a certin speed, constant boost pressure.
Bov- in the intake piping. Usually after the intercooler before the intake mani. Used to release boost pressure when you let off the gas. Protects the turbo blades and throttle body
Both exhaust banks need to be connected.
A gt45 t4 housing would be a good match for a street 318

http://www.ebay.com/itm/400408710211?redirect=mobileOne like this. I know of several gm guys running them on 5.3 an 6.0 and making some decent power with them. As for spool it really depends on your setup. Gearing and tire size, cam, heads, carb.

Just need to be connected to a vacuum source. A good one is to t into the brake booster hose and run to bov. The Wastegate is spring operated. I don't have first hand knowledge since my gm is supercharged

my idea is, the stock pistons wount take a lot of pressure. the stock pistons should not go much higher than the stock RPM. and extra pressure may cause the oil to be changed sooner. just some ideas.
