Default 1993 d150 problems

hello, I have a 93 d150 with the 318 magnum and auto trans. here in the past week it has started stalling out when I come to a stop it runs perfect at idle and when I take off but when it shifts to 2nd it loses all power and I have to make it kickdown to gain speed and then when I go to stop it will start surging and will stall when I have completely stopped. I really need my truck fixed since it is currently my DD so could someone please help me. thank you

This is a blanket statement for any and all magnum motor power issues:

"How's your plenum gasket?"

so I took the intake off and it was for sure the plenum gasket and the lifter valley has a lot of crud in it so im going to give it a real good cleaning and an oil change an hopefully she'll be back on the road.
