Well for the bad news. Looks like I am going to have to sell her.

I keep it at my buddy's place and his neighborhood is doing a crackdown on excess vehicles. Barely had her a month. Took me 2 years to find it.

So if anyone is interested here, let me know. I'm about $950 in but would let her go to a good home for less.

Sad day for sure.

Time to move.

If your area is cracking down on "excess" vehicles, it's no place to live IMO.

Well he lives pretty far out from St. Louis. Jefferson County, which borders St. Louis County, is relatively "rural." He has almost 4 acres. Not a lot, but enough where you wouldn't think people would tell you what to do. People around him have acreage in the hundreds and one guy in the thousands.

Every vehicle has to be licensed and in running. He got a citation from the county just today. I think that is total BS given that some people, including him, have trucks just for moving stuff around the yard. He also has a mud truck that might have to be sold. I am thinking someone has been complaining about him having 8+ vehicles and finally the county wants to do something.

I can't keep it at my place. Simply no room. Drive it on weekends and had plans of fixing up the interior and everything. Seems like a lot of people are getting screwed by this.

So still for sale. :/ I might post an ad on here but not sure people would actually drive across country to get this vehicle like I would.

Doesn't make sense. How can a county tell you what to own and not own. I understand if the people don't like seeing it so they can say move it to the back, but everything is behind his garage!

Oh well, not able to make a thread in the for sale section. I guess I am too new...doesn't look like I will get to spend much time here anyway since I have to sell the old girl. Mad.

here is the link to the for sale ad. Hopefully no one cares that I am posting it here. The number is for my buddy since the car is in his driveway. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/4086461900.html

Well, hopefully it won't sell too soon and you can figure out something different.

maybe you should try finding another place to keep it for a short time. i know i am going through something similar. someone filed a complaint that i had too many bicycle when i only had 4. the lady pretty much said clean up for the day she comes back to do her inspection and them you can bring all the stuff back. people can't file too many complaints against 1 person for the same thing because it could be consider harassment.

now if you are going to sell it i think you should ask a bit more for it than you are. $1000 is very cheap for a 4x4 truck in that good of shape. now since it has a diesel it should be worth more

Interior needs work, some gauges need work. Really no rust, only some surface. Floor pans are bad obviously. And it leaks oil. Not a bad truck at all. I just don't want a 318 or 360 dropped into it because it is so rare!

interior in bad shape and gauges not working is very minor for something with a body and roof so clean. oil leaks are normal for old trucks. $1000 for a 4x4 is cheap. usually people would ask $1000 for a non running 4x4. having a rare diesel would would have to make it worth more than $1000
