Just bought a 1979 w150 utiline. It's got some wiring issues and I've read alot of them do.
I got a new wiring harness to put in but the wiring harness is set up for ac and my truck doesn't have ac. Will that wiring harness still work?
I've also seen some people suggest you should bypass the amp gauge?
Any advice on this truck would be appreciated, I'm kind of in over my head but this will be a learning experience I guess.
Thanks

should be the same. to bypass the amp gauge all you have to do is add a wire between the alternator output and the battery. you leave the old alternator wire connected and add the new one. this bypasses the amp gauge and should make things run good. you may want to look into putting your headlights on relays. one of the best upgrades you can do if you are going to do any night driving in it.
