I am trying to take off my exhaust but i cant figure out how to separate the kat from the headers.

are you taking the whole y pipe off the manifolds or are you just removing the cat?

im trying to take off the whole y pipe i tried to get just the kat off but it was rusted together

just unbolt it at the manifolds... you might as well just cut the pipe on the engine side of the crossmember so it makes for easier removal of the rest of it

really? I got mine out no problem... if its easier take a cutoff wheel and slice em off

when you took them off did you need two people or did you have a lift

I crawled under there with no help and cut the bolts off with a cutoff wheel
